The Mid-Columbia Basin Old Natural Education Sciences (MCBONES) Research Center Foundation provides local K-12 teachers and their students an opportunity to actively participate in laboratory and field-based research in paleontology, geology, paleoecology, and other natural sciences within the Kennewick Washington area.
The MCBONES Research Center Foundation is the product of a synergistic public-private-academic collaboration between local businesses, institutions, organizations, private individuals, and schools.
The foundation is a Washington State non-profit corporation established in September 2008, and is registered with the Washington Secretary of State’s Charities Program.
In September 2011, the MCBONES Research Center Foundation was granted tax exempt status as a public charity - exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (Employer Identification Number: 26-3474017).
